Job description
We are looking for a new Logistical Assistant who can contribute to the growth of Charco, within traveling distance of Cambridge, UK. This role will be key in supporting the company as it enters a period of rapid growth in community size and order volume. This is a dynamic role involving engagement across departments with a range of team members, with the opportunity to gain experience across all areas of the supply chain and grow significantly with the company.
We are looking for someone with demonstrable critical thinking skills and an eye for detail. We value positivity, friendliness and flexibility. Being such a small team, we care deeply about collaboration and so being able to work effectively and transparently with the team is very important to us. However, it is also important that you are comfortable with driving yourself to complete the work, and delivering it on time, as a high level of professionalism will be expected throughout the company, including in this role.
What set of skills are expected from you
- Ability to work with efficiency to ensure the smooth management and coordination of all logistical operations.
- Must have demonstrable organisational skills and good technical literacy.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and a high level of presentation and care in your work.
- Must be based within commuting distance of Cambridge Station.
- Previous experience in stock management, particularly of medical devices under ISO QMS, is beneficial but not essential.
- A UK driving license is preferred but not required.
- An interest in the medical field, particularly in Parkinson’s and a desire to help improve quality of life for those with long term conditions, is beneficial.
What you will be working on
- You will be responsible for tracking stock, quality checking, processing and shipping customer orders, and coordinating returns, based mostly at our Cambridge HQ.
- You will be responsible for correctly documenting these activities within our electronics quality management system, CRM and ERP systems.
- Coordinating with courier and delivery fulfillment partners
- Synthesising and organising information from multiple sources including team members working in community support, manufacturing and deliveries.
- Assisting with community support cases.

Salary will be adjusted according to the candidate’s experience. Role is full-time, subject to 3-month probationary period.
